AUBURNDALE, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers closed the Russ Matt Baseball Classic with an 11-6 win over the Winona State Warriors on Saturday at Lake Myrtle Park.

After a walk to Erik Blair, Anthony Tralongo and Josh Hungler hit back-to-back doubles to pull the Bucs to within one. Two outs later, Zavier Hatfield singled, sending Hungler to third, and then swiped second. Brady Blanks put the Bucs on top with a two-run single. NOTEWORTHY:
- Sean Driscoll (3-1) worked five innngs, allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits and three walks. He struck out five to earn his third win.
- Nate Vela (1-3) took the loss for the Warriors, giving up eight runs on seven hits and four walks in 3.2 innings.
- Joseph went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a run scored and an RBI.
- Tralongo had two hits and scored twice. Blair also had two runs, while Opie drove in three.
ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs host the Florida Tech Panthers on Tuesday in a mid-week, non-conference match up.
