ORLANDO, Fla. -- The number one-ranked Barry University men's tennis team traveled back to Orlando, Fla., to compete against Emory University this Thursday, March 12th, and brought home their 14th win of the season after defeating the Eagles 5-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In Doubles, Machado and Lynch defeated Karatosic and Lasanajak 6-1 to give Barry an early lead in.
- The Eagles quickly responded, as Kartik and Feng defeated Cavalleri and Dillon 6-1 to even the doubles score.
- The deciding match came down to court three, where Johnstone and Kim defeated Chapuis and Kodjoed 6-4 to secure the doubles point for Emory and give the Eagle a 1-0 lead heading into singles.
- In singles, Dillon made quick work of Neider, defeating him 6-0, 6-4 to even the match score 1-1.
- Lynch followed close behind with a victory against Kartik, to give the Bucs a 2-1 advantage.
- Machado then delivered another key point for the Bucs, defeating Johnstone 6-4, 6-0 and putting Barry just one point away from clinching the match.
- Chapuis sealed the victory for Barry, clinching the final point with a 6-3, 6-2 win against Karatosic, pushing the score to 4-1 for Barry.
- Kodjoed was then defeated in an upset against Kim, losing the first set 1-6, then battling back to win the second set 7-3, but ultimately coming up short in the tiebreaker, falling1-0(7), making the score 4-2 and giving the Eagles their second and final point of the match.
- Alleno was the final Buc to finish, closing out the day with a hard-fought win, after winning his first set 7-5, and dropping the second 4-6. He then came back to win the match in a tiebreaker 1-0(6), securing the 5-2 victory for Barry.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Lynch has won eight of his last nine matches and is on a seven-match win streak.
- Alleno is also on a win streak of his own, winning all of his past four matches.
- The Doubles duo of Machado and Lynch is 9-1 in their last ten matches and is on a nine-match win streak.
- The Bucs have never lost to Emory University.

The Bucs will return home next week to play SCAD-Savannah at the Buccaneer Tennis Center on Wednesday, March 18th.
