HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lutringer and Crespo won their match in a quick 6-1 sweep
- Heimen and Dema won their match to get the frist point for Barry
- Anger and Nikolova finished the doubles matches off with a 6-3 win
- Barry took an early one nothing lead after winning all three doubles matches
- Nikolova was the first one to win her match to add on to the Bucs lead and make it two to zero
- Michalitsch was the second to finish making the score three to zero
- Anger then clinched to give the Bucs the official win
- Heimen won her match against Orlandov to put the Bucs up five to zero
- Lutringer won her match to make the score six to zero
- Crespo was the last one to finish making the score seven to zero giving the Bucs the win to open up the season
NOTEWORTHY:
- The Bucs have won every match they have played against St. Thomas
- The Bucs have not lost an opening day match since the 2002 season
ON THE HORIZON
The Bucs travel to Boca Raton to face off in their first conference match of the season against Lynn University on Wednesday Feb. 11.
