MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers baseball team sunk the Erskine Flying Fleet 8-5 on Saturday afternoon at Feinbloom Field.

- T1 - The Fleet got on the board first in the opening frame Drew Potts led off the game by singled up the middle. One out later, Pierce Radke ripped a double down the left field line, scoring Potts from the second. | Erskine 1, Barry 0
- B3 - The Bucs took the lead in the third inning. They loaded the bases on singles from Zavier Hatfield and Brady Blanks, and a walk by Jalen Smith. Hatfield scored on a double play and Blake Opie delivered the go head run on a single through the left side. | Barry 2, Erskine 1
- T4 - Erskine took back the lead in the fourth. Mason McManus and Danny Villafane hit back to back double to start things off and Villafane later scored on a wild pitch.| Erskine 3, Barry 2
- B4 - Aramis Ramirez, Jr., drew a lead off walk. With two outs, Blanks launched his first career homer over the wall in right center field. | Barry 4, Erskine 3
- B5 - Erik Blair led off with a double to center field and Opie followed with a single to put runners at the corners. Anthony Tralongo hit a high chopper to McManus at third base and his throw was off line at first allowing Blair to score from third. | Barry 5, Erskine 3
- T6 - Villafane walked, advancing to second on a wild pitch. After tagging on a fly ball, he scored from third on a pass ball. | Barry 5, Erskine 4
- B6 - The Bucs staged a two-out rally in the sixth to get the run back. Smith doubled to deep center and scored on a single down the left field line by Blair. | Barry 6, Erskine 4
- B7 - Barry kept the score in the seventh. Tralongo singled to left field and Josh Hungler walked. One out later, pitch hitter Lee-Anthony Santiago struck a single down the left field line and with two outs Blanks bounced a single up the middle to score Hungler. | Barry 8, Erskine 4
- T8 - Erskine got one run back to the eighth on a ground rule double by Evan Rodriguez. | Barry 8, Erskine 5
NOTEWORTHY:
- Pavlos Piperakis (1-0) earned the win for the Bucs. He worked 5.2 innings allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits and four walks, while striking out five.
- John Petozzi worked a perfect ninth with one strike out to record his second save.
- Hunter Pankey (0-1) took the loss for the Fleet. He gave up five runs (four earned) on seven hits and four walks in four innings.
- Blanks led the Bucs at the plate going 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBI.
- Blair and Opie each had two hits.
- Radke led the Fleet going 3-for5 with two doubles and an RBI.
- Rodriguez had two ground rule doubles and also walked twice.
- The Bucs took their first ever win against Erskine.
