TAMPA, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers lost 79-53 to the Tampa Spartans in Sunshine State Conference women's basketball action from the Martinez Center on Saturday.

- Izzy Brenzil again led Barry with 12 points, and six rebounds.
- Kornelia Ignerska added 10 points and a team-high two assists.
- Palmieri led the Spartans with 18 points.
- Ryan Franklin and Brooklynn Butler each had 12 and Olivia Davis chipped in 10.
- Franklin led the Spartans with 11 boards as they held a 33-25 edge on the glass and 10-6 edge in second-0chance points.
- Tampa dominated the paint, out-scoring Barry 32-20.
