DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — After dropping in th first set, Barry Volleyball locked in and took the four-set victory over Lewis to close out their time at the Embry-Riddle Invitational. All eyes were on freshmen Valeriya Kozlova who knocked down a career-high 35 kills on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Set One - Barry fell behind early and were unable to recover as Lewis ran off with the first set. The Flyerss had 14 kills with just two attacking errors, hitting .480 in the set and added four blocks. | Lewis 25, Barry 16
- Set Two - The second set saw both teams struggled offensively hitting under .150. After being down, 14-16 the Bucs got a four point stretch to flip the table with two kills froom Kozlova and one from Varvara Osychenko. This lead held through the and as both teams traded service errors to close out the set and tie the match. | Barry 25, Lewis 21
- Set Three - A more comfortable Buccaneer team came out and started the third set. A 5-0 run made it 7-2 and gave Barry the cushion needed. Kozlova, Osychenko, and Veronika Eremeeva were to thank. Kozlova had 10 of the 18 kills for the Bucs in the set. The defense held th Flyers to just eight kills in the set. | Barry 25, Lewis 17
- Set Three - Th offense locked in and were in full control in the fourth set. Of the 26 points in the set, Barry scored 80-percent oof their points via a kill with 21, the most in a set this season. The team had a swing percentage of .409. Lewis had a last minute five point run that tied the match at 24-all. NOTEWORTHY:
- Valeriya Kozlova had a career night with 35 kills, leading all players and hitting .484.
- The 35 kills is tied for fourth most in program history in a four-set match.
- Veronika Eremeeva had a quiet 14 kills, and continues her eight match streak of scoring double-digit kills.
- Ester Pushkarov held up the defense with five blocks.
- Gaia Riedmüller had a career-high 26 digs in the contest.
- Osychenko contributed four crucial kills and 18 digs.
- Petra Brkicic also had a career night tying her high in assists with 43. She went perfect 3-3 on attack attempts to kills.
- The 64 kills is the most this season.
- Statistically, the Bucs led in all categories but blocks.
