MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Head coach Carlos Velez has released the 2025-26 Barry University men's golf schedule.
"We are looking forward to competing in a strong schedule that will build character and help us get ready to make a post season run late in the spring," Velez said "Our young team is full of talent. I am excited to watch the guys get to it and get to know the identity of this squad this season."
FULL SCHEDULE
The Bucs open up the year at the Jay Jennison Cup, hosted by Flagler College, on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Fla. This is the first time the Bucs have played in the Jay Jennison Cup since their win in 2021.
The Bucs head west to participate in the Copperhead Championship, hosted by the University of West Florida, on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at the Innisbrook Golf Resort in Palm Harbor, Fla. The Bucs have participated in the Copperhead Championship since 2021 however last year's championship was canceled due to hurricane Milton.
For the first time since 2019 the Bucs will participate in the GolfWeek Invitational, Hosted by GolfWeek Magazine, on Monday, Oct. 20 at Ocean Point Golf Course on Fripp Island, S.C.
For the third year in a row the Bucs will be returning for the Citrus Invitational, hosted by Champions Gate, on Monday, Oct 27 at Champions Gate Golf Course in Orlando, Fla. This will mark the end of the fall season for the Bucs.
The Bucs will kick of their spring season at the Matlock Classic, hosted by Florida Southern College, on Monday, Feb. 9 at Lone Palm Country Club in Lakeland, Fla. The Bucs are looking to take first place this year after tying for third last year.
The Bucs head to the Saint Leo Invitational, hosted by Saint Leo University, on Monday, Feb. 16 at the Lake Jovita Golf Course in Lake Jovita Fla. The Bucs are coming off of a first-place win at last year Saint Leo Invitational.
For the 16th consecutive year since the 2007-08 season the Bucs will head to the Southeastern Collegiate, hosted by Valdosta State University, on Monday. Mar. 9 at the Kinderlou Forrest Golf Course in Valdosta, Ga.
The Bucs also make another consecutive appearance since the 2007-08 season at the Shark Invitational, hosted by Nove Southeastern University , on Monday, Mar. 23 at the Grand Oaks Golf Course in Davie, Fla.
The Bucs host the Battle of the Lakes (formerly known as The Battle At The Shores) on Monday, Mar. 30 at the Miami Lakes Golf Club. The Bucs have hosted the Battle of the lakes since the 2009 season and have won 11 times since the introduction of the tournament.
The Bucs then head to the Sunshine State Conference Championship tournament at Lake Jovita Golf Course on Saturday Apr. 18 with the qualifying teams advancing to the NCAA Super Regional on Tuesday, May 30. The teams who qualify at the Super Regional will advance to the NCAA Championship in Las Vegas, Nev. On Monday, May. 18.
