MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Barry head men's soccer coach Petsa Ivanovic has unveiled the schedule for the upcoming fall season.
The Bucs have 14 games this fall, with eight being within the friendly confines of Buccaneer Field, where Barry has a 182-99-26 record, 59.3 winning percentage, over the year program history.

Three exhibition matches prepare the team, as the season starts on Thursday Sept. 4 against the Flager Saints. It's the first of five home games to start the season and the first meeting since 2023, which the Saints won 3-2. Despite Flagler being 3-1-1 in the last five, the record is 4-4-1 overall, including Barry being 3-1 at home. The Saints went 12-5-3 last season, winning the Peach Belt Conference and making the NCAA tournament.
The Buccaneers host the Clayton State Lakers on Saturday, Sept. 6. It's the first meeting with Clayton State since Barry won 5-4 in 2016; Clayton State is coming off an Elite Eight appearance last season with a 13-4-4 record.
Barry travels to the St. Thomas Bobcats on Thursday, Sept. 10. Despite losing three-straight to the Bobcats, the Bucs hold a 20-8-1 overall record. The Bobcats went 13-3-1 last season making the semifinals of the Sun Conference tournament.
Back home for a match with the Florida Memorial Lions on Monday, Sept. 13. It's the final game before Sunshine State Conference play begins. The Bucs lost their first game to Florida Memorial last season with Barry holding a 6-1 record against the Lions. FMU went 7-7-1 last season making the Sun Conference tournament.
The fifth home game coincides with the start of SSC matches, with the Eckerd Tritons coming to Buccaneer Field on Saturday, Sept. 20. Barry has won six straight against the Tritons in shutout fashion, including 3-0 last season. The Bucs hold a 30-12-2 overall record against the Tritons. Eckerd went 4-11-1 (3-7 in the SSC) last season, making the SSC tournament.
Barry's first road test of the season comes at Winter Park, Fla., as they play the Rollins Tars on Saturday, Sept. 27. Barry is 21-24-3 overall, with Rollins being 3-1-1 in the last five meetings. Rollins eliminated the Bucs from the conference tournament last season. The Tars went 10-6-1 (6-3-1 in the SSC) last season, finishing tied for second in the SSC. They made the conference championship but lost to the eventually national champion Lynn.
On Wednesday, Oct. 1, the Bucs host the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish. The Sailfish had the upper hand last season with a 3-0 win. The Bucs have a 21-8-1 overall record against the Sailfish, including wins in two of the last three following five-straight losses. PBA went 6-6-3 (5-4-1 in the SSC) last season making the conference tournament.
The Buccaneers travel to Daytona Beach, Fla., to face off against the Embry-Riddle Eagles on Saturday, Oct. 4. The Eagles won 2-0 last season, making it their first win against the Bucs. Before that the Bucs were 6-0-3 against Embry-Riddle, with wins in four-straight. The Eagles went 4-8-3 (2-6-2 in the SSC) last season finishing tenth in the SSC.
Cross-town rival Nova Southeastern make their way to Miami Shores, Fla., on Wednesday, Oct. 8. The Sharks won the meeting last season 3-2, but Barry has won three of the last five meetings. Barry has a 22-17-4 overall record and are 14-4-2 at Buccaneer Field against the Sharks. NSU went 7-5-3 (6-3-1 in the SSC) last season making the conference tournament.
On Wednesday, Oct. 15 the Buccaneers face off against the defending SSC and national champions in Boca Raton, Fla.; the arch-rival Lynn Knights went undefeated last season at 20-0-2 (8-0-2 in the SSC). Despite an overall record of 14-28-8 against the Knights, Barry is 2-1-2 in the last five meetings. The Buccaneers tied Lynn last season, 1-1, and haven't lost to the Knights since 2021.
Barry hosts the Saint Leo Lions on Saturday, Oct. 18. The Lions won the meeting last season 2-1, but Barry holds a 24-14-4 overall record, with wins in three of the last five. Saint Leo went 3-9-4 (2-5-3 in the SSC) last season, just missing out on the conference tournament finishing ninth in the SSC.
The Buccaneers go on the road for the next two, facing off against Tampa (Oct. 25) and Florida Southern (Nov. 1). Despite a 17-25-3 overall record, Barry has won three straight against Tampa, winning 3-2 last season. The Spartans went 8-6-3 (5-4-1 in the SSC) last season making the second round of the conference tournament. The Bucs have a 29-9-3 record overall against Florida Southern, including 7-2-1 in the last ten meetings and wins in back-to-back matches. The Moccasins went 3-7-4 (1-7-2 in the SSC) last season finishing last in the SSC.
The season wraps up at Buccaneer Field, as Barry hosts the Florida Tech Panthers on Thursday, Nov. 6. Barry has a 24-19-5 overall record, but the teams have been even recently with the record being 4-4-2 in the last ten. Florida Tech went 10-6-1 (6-3-1 in the SSC) last season, making the conference tournament before losing in the first round to Barry.
The SSC tournament begins on Monday, Nov. 10 and runs through Sunday, Nov. 16, with NCAA tournament bids coming afterwards.
