MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Barry University men's basketball team announced the addition of Gui Tesch to the roster for the 2025-26 season.

"Gui has a versatile skill set and a high work capacity," head coach Justin Furr said. "He played at North Broward Prep for Casey Wohlleb before going to Evansville and playing for David Ragland, two coaches I have a ton of respect for. He is a gym rat and is always looking to find ways to improve. He is another guy that we believe fits perfectly in how we would like to play on both sides of the ball. I'm excited to welcome Gui and his family to BarryU!"

A 6-9 forward, Tesch spent last year with NCAA Division I Evansville, primarily in a bench role. In 22 games with the Purple Aces during his redshirt freshman year, he averaged five rebounds per 36 minutes. Tesch, a solid rebounder and defender, achieved a season-high with four steals against UT Arlington.

Before Evansville, Tesch played at IMG Academy and North Broward High, averaging 14.5 points and 5.5 rebounds a game. He was also a member of Brazil's 2022 FIBA Americas Championship team.

"I chose to come to Barry because I want to be a part of the championship culture the coaches are working to build," Tesch said. "The environment and the people at Barry made me feel welcome and wanted. I believe the staff will help me grow in all aspects of life and achieve my goals."

The Buccaneers are coming off a 12-17 season and a Sunshine State Conference Tournament appearance.
