DAVIE, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers stunned the Nova Southeastern Sharks 7-3 in the opener of their Sunshine State Conference baseball series at the NSU Baseball Complez on Friday night.

NOTEWORTHY:
- Billy Eich (5-3) struck out a season-high 10 batters in seven innings to earn the win for the Bucs. He allowed two runs on four hits and two walks.
- Gonzalez took the loss for NSU. In allowed four runs on four hits and four walks in 2.2 innings.
- Delgado led the Bucs at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a single, double, homer and four RBI.
- Bruno and Vargas Segura each had two hits and Turner drove in two runs.
- Nick Rodriguez had two hits to lead the Sharks, while Zeth Rodriguez had the only two RBI on his sixth-inning homer.
- The win is the first of the season against the Sharks, as NSU won both non-conference games.
