MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers placed three on the Men's Tennis Academic All-District teams this season. Gabriele Felline, Tim Riedel and Leo Caill were all recognized for their outstanding work in the classroom.
Felline*, a senior transfer from Gentilino, Switzerland, is a first-term graduate student, after completing his undergraduate degree at Lynn with a 3.91 GPA. He carries an 11-5 record in singles, compiled at the top two flights and is 17-6 in doubles, mostly with partner Riedel at #2 doubles.
Riedel*, a senior from Gyula, Hungary, has a 3.906 GPA in kinesiology. He is 10-3 in singles, mostly at the middle flights, while partnering with Felline to ranked #36 in doubles.
Caill, a sophomore from Paris, France, has a 3.82 GPA in business management. He is 4-3 in singles, and 11-10 in doubles.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's Tennis teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
The CSC Academic All-District® teams require players to maintain at least a 3.5 GPA as both a undergraduate and graduate student, as well as must be in the lineup for 70 percent of an institution's days of competition.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists, denoted with an asterisk*, advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 4, 2025.
The Division II CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II Academic All-America® programs.
