- B1 - Jimmy Bruno walked to lead off the first, stole second, went to third on a throwing error by first baseman Sean Moynihan and scored on a single by Murchael Turner. - B6 - Barry tacked on three runs in the sixth. After Harry Vargas Seguera and Savi Delgado walked and stole a base each to put runners at second and third, Barry used "small ball" tactics to bring in the runs. NOTEWORTHY:
- Kevin Mebil (1-0) worked 2.2 scoreless innings to earn his first win. He allowed one hit and struck out five.
- Kyle Keating (0-3) gave up four runs in 5.0 innings, on five hits and four walks, to take the loss.
- Delgado went 3-for-3 with a single, double and homer, a walk, two runs and three RBI to lead the Bucs at the plate.
- Turner, Diaz and Espinosa all had two hits, with Diaz scoring twice.
ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs venture up to the Russ Matt Baseball Classic this weekend to face Roosevelt, Tiffin and Northwood in neutral site games on Friday and Saturday.
