MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers split their Sunshine State Conference baseball doubleheader with the Lynn Knights on Friday, dropping the first game 6-4, but taking the nightcap 7-3.

- B1 - Barry got a run in the first on a very strange play. Vargas Seguera walked and went to third on a error by Knights third baseman Fowler. With Noriega aboard at first and running on the pitch, Felix Diaz lined out to Dougherty in shallow right, who chose to run the ball in to double off Noriega, while Vargas Seguera tagged and scored before the third out. | Barry 1, Lynn 0

Turner laid down a sacrifice bunt to score Delapenha, but pitcher Devin Sweeney threw the ball away at first, allowing Diaz to score and Turner to go to third. NOTEWORTHY:
- Neither starter figured into the decision in game one. Nathan Shane (2-2) got the win for the Knights, despite cooughing up the lead in the seventh. He tossed three scoreless innings on two hits and a walk. Sean Driscoll (1-1) was tagged with the loss, allowing one run on two hits in 2.2 innings.
- Mason Blocker (4-2) worked six innings in game two to earn the win for the Bucs. He allowed three runs on seven hits and four walks.
- Shew took the loss for the Knights, giving up four runs (three earned) on three hits and two walks in 1.1 innings.
- Turner went 4-for-5 with two runs and two RBI lead Barry at the plate.
- Diaz and Wike also recorded four hits, including a double each.
- Fowler, Dougherty and Robinson all collected four hits in the twin bill for Lynn.
