Men's Tennis Sweep PBA in 2025 Opener

The Bucs start strong with a doubles sweep

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. --  The fourth-ranked Barry Buccaneers men's tennis team opened their 2025 season with strong start, sweeping the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish 7-0  from the Buccaneer Tennis Center on Monday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Buccanners swept the doubles, earning the doubles points. 
  • Caill, Rivoira, Azoulay and Machado all captured their first set in the singles matches and went on to win in straight sets. 
  • Felline clinched the win for the Bucs at Singles Court No. 1. 
  • Riedel was the last of the Bucs to finish up play, after winning the first set 7-5 in a close battle, he took command in the second match and won 6-2 to secure the sweep for the Bucs.

NOTEWORTHY:

  • The Bucs have never lost to the Sailfish.

The Bucs will host Florida National at the Buccaneer Tennis Center on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 3:00 p.m.
