Boing Helps JV Baseball Bounce Back Against Macaws

Bucs split doubleheader to open the season

MIAMI SHORES, Fla.  -- Robert Boing, who transferred in from Millenia Atlantic this season, helped the Bucs bounce back in game two to split a season-opening doubleheader with the Macaws at Feinbloom Field on Monday. Millenia Atlantic took game one 5-0, but the Bucs won 11-1 in six innings in game two.

  • Rafael Romero went the distance for the Macaws, tossing the shutout on seven hits and a walk, while striking out 13.
  • Boing (1-0) worked four innings, allowing a run on one hit and striking out four.
  • Zack Allen worked the final two innings, striking out four.
  • Flynn led the Bucs at the plate, going 4-for-7 with two doubles and two runs.
  • Herrera was 2-for-6, scoring three runs and driving in three more.
  • Avila added two doubles and three RBI in game two.

ON THE HORIZON:
The Buccaneers play on the road for the first time in 2025 when they visit St. Thomas on Wednesday for a 5 p.m. first pitch.
