INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Committee announced Wednesday the qualifiers for the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. Three Buccaneers were selected for individual events, while the men's 4x200 relay also qualified. The championships will be held March 11-15 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The three individuals are women's senior Diana Suprun, and men's junior Milosz Mencel and sophomore Roland Nagy.
Suprun becomes the first women's swimmer to qualify for the Buccaneers, swimming the 100 and 200 breaststroke. Suprun has the 13th-ranked seed time in both the 200 and 100 breaststroke. In the 100, she posted a time of 1:02.21, while in the 200, it was 2:16.21.
Nagy and Mencel will swim five events between them. Nagy qualified with the 12th-best seed time nationally in the 200 back. He earned First-Team All-America status in the 200 back last year, finishing seventh overall with a time of 1:44.91. His seed time this year is 1:44.79. In the 100 back, Nagy has the 25th-best seed time at 48:36. Mencel's top performance came in the 200 free, where he posted the ninth-best seed time this year at 1:35.87. He will also swim the 200 IM (seed time: 1:49.60) and the 100 free (seed time: 44.55).
In addition, the men will field a relay team in the 800 free. Nagy and Mencel are joined by Jacopo Lanzo and Balazs Ament.
