ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers knocked off the Eckerd Tritons in dominant fashion, 75-52, at the McArthur Center on Saturday in Sunshine State Conference women's basketball action.

- 1Q - Barry jumped out on top quickly, scoring the first seven points of the game. After a layup by Hailey Chiles with 2:28 left in the period, the Bucs were up by eight, 16-8. Eckerd hit back-to-back three-pointers to cut the lead to two, but another layup by Colleen Bucknor and three free throws from Audrey Jennings pushed the margin back to seven at the break. | Barry 21, Eckerd 14

- 3Q - The Bucs pushed the lead to 15 on a three-pointer by Emma Wallhoff with 6:52 remaining in the third. The Tritons tried to mount a comeback, cutting the lead to just seven points on a layup by Lisa Michaelsen at the 3:02 mark. - 4Q - The fourth quarter was all Buccaneers, as they stiffled any chance at a comeback by nearly doubling the Eckerd out-put 27-14. Jennings led the way with 10 of her game-high 20 points in the period.  | Barry 75, Eckerd 52
NOTEWORTHY:
- Jennings got assistance from Kaliyah Morales with 15 points, Lindsey with 13 and Wallhoff with 12.
- Jaylen Ostenson led Eckerd with 12 points, while Michaelsen had 11 and Chance Bucher 10.
- Barry shot 19-of-21 from the free throw line, out-scoring the Tritons 19-4 from the stripe.
- The loss avenged an earlier win by the Tritons in The Shores.Â
- The Bucs forced 17 turnovers, while only committing six, leading to a 16-5 edge.
