Bucs Sweep Doubleheader with Tough Wins Over the Macaws

Bucs Edge Out 3-2 Thriller in Game 1, Bucs Power Through 7-4 Victory in Game 2

MIAMI SHORES, Fla.  -- Bucs sweep their doubleheader with the Macaws at Feinbloom Field on Monday. The Bucs won game one in dramatic fashion with a walk-off 3-2 victory and followed it up with a solid 7-4 win in game two to complete the sweep.

  • B1: Ben Rhode reached on an infield single, quickly stole second, and put himself in scoring position. Anthony Vizzini took advantage, lacing a double down the left-field line to bring Rhode home.|  Barry 1, MAU 0

  • Dominick Pannitti earned the win, improving to (1-0) on the season.
  • Jose Ramon Abreu took the loss, dropping to 0-1, in 1.2 innings, giving up seven walks and allowing two runs.
  • Brenden Hayes earned the win, securing his record to (1-1) pitching three innings, allowing two hits, and five walks, only allowing one run. With seven strikeouts.
  • Julius Sellars took the loss (0-1), unable to contain the opposition in the crucial moments of the game.
  • Mike Palenzuela got the save first of the season, with one inning pitched and striking out the side to end the game.
  • Rhode went 4-7 in the doubleheader.
  • Vizzini had four RBI's in the doubleheader and one double.
