MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The first inning was all that was needed to be played to decide the outcome of Monday's game between 16th ranked East Stroudsburg and Barry softball. This concluded a seven game stretch for the Bucs in the last four days from Buccaneer Field where they went 5-2.
INSIDE THE MATCHUPS
Final: #16 East Stroudsburg 5, Barry 2
Records: Barry (5-3), Wingate (2-5)
All-Time Series: Barry leads 9-6
HOW IT HAPPENED:
	- T1 | The first three batters reach base safely. A three run shot put a stamp on the five run inning. All nine Warrior came to the plate with the final two popping up to short to end the inning. | East Stroudsburg 5, Barry 0

	- B1 | As the Bucs have shown quite often, they cut into their deficit scoring two of their own in the bottom half. Mya Tucker led off with a ground rule double to dead center. Harper Bunn dropped a perfect bunt to put runners on the corners. Sarah Langlie walked to draw the bases loaded and quickly add pressure. Caroline Figueroa had the sacrifice fly that brought home Tucker. Then a first and third play scored Bunn on the attempt to second base, where Bri Pellicone reached safely. | East Stroudsburg 5, Barry 2

 NOTEWORTHY
	- Alexis Martin came in the top of the fourth to shut down a Warrior threat getting a ground ball and inning ending strike out to keep the Bucs within reach. She finished throwing 2.2 innings, fanning two, now allowing a hit, just giving up one free pass.

	- Mya Tucker continue to find her way on, extending her hit streak to eight. This ties the longest from the 2024 season that was held by teammate Brooklyn Rushton.

	- Barry had four hits to East Stroudsburg's eight.

	- The Bucs left five ducks on the pond to the Warriors seven.
