HOW IT HAPPENED (West Alabama)
  • T1 | The Bucs got their first run of the 2025 season when Caroline Figueroa drove in Harper Bunn from first, off a double to straight away center.
  • B1 | West Alabama quickly even the score in the bottom half of the first, with a two-out single.
  • T3 | Figueroa followed up her first at-bat with a solo shot to dead center, giving Barry back the lead at 2-1.
  • T7 | The senior first baseman had a day, driving in her third run of the game to give Barry much needed insurance. Figueroa doubled to right field and traded places with Bunn who previously doubled to left center. The Bucs held a 3-1 lead.
  • B7 | UWA continued to fight, sparking a two-out rally that had them bring the game within one off a Buccaneer error.
NOTEWORTHY (West Alabama)
  • Barry outhit West Alabama 8-6.
  • Figueroa notched the first three-hit game of the early season, driving in all three runs.
  • Samantha Rosenberger got her first win of the year going the distance, allowing six hits, one earned run, while striking out four.
  • Bunn went 2-for-3, with a double and walk, while scoring two of the three runs.
  • Brooklyn Rushton had a multi-hit game with two singles.
  • Barry has won six straight against the Tigers. It was their first matchup since 2010.
HOW IT HAPPENED (North Georgia)
  • T1 | In a wild first inning, North Georgia scored five runs on four hits, and stranded two runners. The first four batters reached base before an out was recorded. Three walks and a hit by pitch helped the Nighthawks in their big inning.
  • B1 | Barry was not phased as they came in and made it a ball game cutting the deficit to two at 5-3. Three of the first four Bucs reached via a walk. Brooklyn Rushton delivered a single through the left side that scored Sarah Langlie. Sofia Chamorro added fuel to the first with a single down the left field line to bring in two.
  • T3 | A ground out for the Nighthawks would score their sixth run of the game and make it 6-3. Bunn got the Bucs out of the inning cutting down the runner attempting to steal second.
  • B3 | Once again, Barry answered with a run of their own. Shelby Prevatte singled to right center to drive in Mac Stone-Folmar and keep it within two at 6-4.
  • B4 | It became a one run game after a three-up three-down inning on defense in the top half. An error from UNG's second baseman allowed Paige White to score who reached on a single earlier in the inning.
  • T5 | North Georgia answered with a four-run top of the fifth. Two Buccaneer errors would be costly to extending the inning. The gap would widen with a 10-5 score.
  • T6 | UNG scored their final run in the top of the sixth with an errant throw allowing the runner from first to come all the way around and score to make it 11-5.
  • B7| The Buccaneers battled until the last out. Back-to-back walks to lead-off the inning got the momentum going. A bases loaded hit by pitch scored the sixth run with two outs, but the bases would be left loaded to end the game.
NOTEWORTHY (North Georgia)
  • Barry had four runs batted in and hit .429 (6-14) with two outs.
  • The Bucs stranded 13 runners on the base path.
  • Bunn, Rushton, and Chamorro all picked up multi-hit games.
  • Seven of the nine starters recorded a hit.
  • Stone-Folmar, Figueroa, and White have reached base in all three games.
  • White and Figueroa have recorded a hit in all three games, as well.
