MIAMI SHORES, Fla. — A full team effort was on display in the Health and Sports Center on Saturday afternoon. Barry Volleyeball swept Saint Leo to close out their first go around in Sunshine State Conference play. The Buccaneers have won eight straight matches against the Lions dominating 24-2 in set victories.

- Set One - As the story goes for most matches, Valeriya Kozlova recorded the first Buccaneer point via a kill. Barry picked up an early five point lead that set the pace. The lead doubled with a 5-0 that made it 16-7. The Bucs hit .444 in the set with 15 kills on just three errors. The defense held the Lions to just seven kills and hitting .062. Veronika Eremeeva lead the offense with six kills in the set hitting .556. Kozlova went 5-for-6 on attempts and hitting .833. | Barry 25, SLU 14
- Set Two - Kozlova one again got the first Buccaneer point as the took the lead to start the set. A Lion service error gave Barry a chance to string together three straight points and grab distance on the scoreboard. The Bucs cruised to a second set victory. The offense came from middle hitter Ivana Žujovic who collected four kills. Barry had three and half blocks in the set and forced an .027 hitting percentage. | Barry 25, SLU 16
- Set Three - Barry opened the set on a 5-0 run as Kozlova recorded her third straight first point kill, and Gaia Riedmüller had a service ace. Another three block set helped the Bucs secure the match win in straight sets. Every active Buccaneer played in the set and had a touch on the ball. NOTEWORTHY:
- Valeriya Kozlova had her 11th straight double-digit kill performance with 11 kills for a match-high.
- She was the only player to record double-digit kills.
- Varvara Osychenko led the back row with 11 digs.
- Thalia Iglesias anchored the offense with 26 assists.
- Frankie Good tied her career-high of six kills.
- Barry hit .341 in the match and held Saint Leo to an .022 hit percentage.
- Statistically, the Bucs won every category dominating blocks 7-2 and service aces 8-4.
