The ITA Cup kicked off this Thursday, Oct. 16, in Mount Berry, GA, with four Bucs competing in the tournament.

First Day Results

The second-seed, Yan Kodjoed, competed in the men's singles tournament and took on Malo Poulesquen, beating him in a quick first round to move on to the second day of the tournament. Kodjoed will face Adrian Solorzano in the quarterfinals.

Yan Kodjoed (Barry) def. Malo Poulesquen (UTT) 6-1,6-2

The women's singles tournament started as well, with the first-seeded Dana Heimen competing against Filipa Larson. Heimen beat Larson in two quick sets to move on to the quarterfinals of the tournament. Heimen's next opponent is Sofia Antolini from Catawba College.

Heiman also competed with Anastasia Nikolova in the women's doubles tournament. They are the two-seed and won their first match after a close first set and a second set blowout. Heimen and Nikolova will play Audrey Ouellet and Anamarija Kovacevic from Findlay next.
