ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The Barry Men's Golf team completed their second tournament of the fall season at the Copperhead Championship in Palm Harbor, Fla. and tied sixth among the 17 teams in attendance. The Bucs were +22 and shot for a 874 total (293-286-295--874), with their best round being the second round where they shot 2-over. Barry defeated seven GCAA ranked teams at the tournament, including four in the top-10.
Daniel Vanososte led the way, moving up 18 spots in the final round to finish tied for 11th place.

- Finished tied for second on Par 5s with -5
- Tied for second on total birdies
- His best round came on the final 18, going 1-under with six birdies.
- Totaled 32 pars and 12 birdies for the tournament.
Brett Jones (+4) (75-68-74--217) T-21st Place
- Finished tied for top-10 on par 4s
- The only Buc to have an eagle
- One of six players out of 90 to score an eagle
- Best round was the second round shooting 3-under with three birdies and an eagle
- Totaled 34 pars and seven birdies
Giorgio Celani (+7) (71-74-75--220) T-34th Place
- Tied sixth in total birdies
- Totaled 27 pars and 10 birdies
Guilherme Ziccardi (+9) (74-72-76--222) T-39th Place
- Totaled 35 pars and five birdies
- Best round came in the second round where he totaled two birdies and finished 1-over
Ismael Garcia (+20) (81-76-76--233) 83rd Place
- Totaled 31 pars and three birdies

NOTEWORTHY:
- Finished tied sixth as a team with no. 11 Lincoln Memorial
- Placed higher than seven ranked teams: no. 2 North Georgia, no. 3 Florida Southern, no. 8 Lander no. 10 Columbus State, no. 15 Lynn, no. 21 Rollins, and no. 24 Saint Leo.
- One of five teams to record an eagle
- Finished top 10 in par 3s, fifth in par 4s, and 10th in Par 5s
- Completed the tournament as a top 5 team in birdies totaling 37
- Finished with 159 pars over the three rounds.
UP NEXT:
The Bucs will travel to Fripp Island, SC to compete in the Golfweek Invitational at the Ocean Point Golf Course, starting on Oct. 20th through Oct. 21st.
