MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers blanked the Webber International Warriors 2-0 on Saturday at Buccaneer Field.

SUMMARY:

  • 25:01 - Barry got on the board in the first half, just minutes after the mandatory water break. Cordelia Brown crossed the ball from the right to the top of the 18-yard box to Kaitlin Conway who slotted it through to Katelyn Billoch for the goal. | Barry 1, WIU 0
  • 64:35 - Barry added an insurance goal in the 65th minute. Conway whipped in a corner from the right and Alia Jaidi out-fought the Warrior defense to tap in the goal.  | Barry 2, WIU 0

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Barry out-shot the Warriors 19-6, including 13-3 on goal.
  • Paige Leary earned her first clean sheet, making three saves. She improved to 2-0-0 on the season.
  • Juliana Grider kept the Warriors in the game by making 11 saves, but conceded twice to take her second loss of the year.
  • Jaidi was a catalyst for the offense, putting four of her team-high five shots on goal.

ON THE HORIZON:

The Bucs host arch-rival Lynn in a non-conference game on Wednesday, Sept. 11, with kick off slated for 7:00 pm.
