MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers swept their home opener over Auburn-Montgomery Warhawks from the Health & Sports Center on Friday evening to begin the 2024 season.

- Set Three - The Bucs led by as much as eight in the set, and closed it out on a 6-3 run to sweep the opener.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Barry led from the first point until the last in the match.
- Diana Akopova had 20 kills in the match to lead both sides with a .586 clip.
- Petra Brkicic led the way with 26 assists with six digs.
- Barry hit a dynamic .479 for the match, going over .500 twice.
- AUM did not have a set that recorded double-digit kills.
- The Bucs doubled up over the Warhawks in points (75-43), kills (43-22), and dominated service aces (10-1).
