LARGO, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers women's golf team placed 6th at the 25th women's golf SSC Championship after carding (321-294-302--917) +53 at the Bayou Club on Tuesday afternoon.
BUCCANEER HIGHLIGHTS:
Daniela Ballesteros (+7) (77-71-75--223) T-5th Place
- Made the All-SSC tournament team.
- Led Bucs in par-3 scoring (+1).
- Tied team lead and finished tied for fourth overall among all golfers in par-4 scoring (+4).
- Led Bucs in pars (36) and tied team lead for birdies (7).
Tereza Zavrelova (+9) (79-70-76--225) T-10th Place
- Shot the lowest round of any golfer in the entire tournament, posting a 70(-2) in the second round. It was tied for the 17th-best round in championship history.
- Tied for team lead and tied for fourth overall among all golfers in par-4 scoring (+4).
- Totaled 32 pars and seven birdies.
Sydney Grimes (+15) (79-77-75--231) 22nd Place
- Led team in par-5 scoring (E), tied for fourth among all golfers.
- Recorded 31 pars and five birdies.
Nina Klug (+22) (86-76-76--238) 34th Place
- Totaled 29 pars and four birdies.
Giuliana Gomez (+34) (86-80-84--250) 48th Place
- Recorded 29 pars and two birdies.
