MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers lost 9-5 to the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish at Feinbloom Field on Friday night in the opening game of a Sunshine State Conference baseball series.

NOTEWORTHY:
- Justin Lovell (1-1) worked 3.2 innings in relief of starter Ryan Webster to get the win. He allowed a run on three hits and two walks, but struck out six.
- Isaac Beebe struck out two in the ninth to earn his first save.
- Murgo took the loss for the Bucs, allowing five runs on a nine hits and three walks in six innings.
- Rodriguez had three of the Bucs' seven hits and scored twice.
- Williams, who came in batting .211, with 4-for-5 with a homer and three runs scored to lead PBA.
- McNamara and Faranda each had three hits for the Sailfish.
