Toms was hit by a pitch to force in another and Kevin Noriega ripped a double down the right field line to clear the bases. | Barry 8, Post 0
  • T8 - Jose Rivera doubled to deep center to score Jimmy Brennan to get the Eagles on the board. | Barry 8, Post 1

Game 2 - Barry 21, Post 3

  • B1 - The game started badly for the visitors in the first inning, as starter Justin Portes (0-3) face four batters, throwing one strike, to walk three and hit one batter. The Bucs continued to apply pressure to the Eagles bullpen, sending nine more men to the plate. The Eagles forced in four runs on a hit batter and three more walks, before Barry had their first hit, a bases-clearing double from Rodriguez. Sanchez also contributed an RBI double. | Barry 8, Post 0
  • T2 - Chris Corchado launched a lead-off homer in the second. | Barry 8, Post 1
  • B2 - Wickeri, who doubled to lead off the inning, scored on a fly out by Christian Maceda. | Barry 9, Post 1
  • T4 - After Corchado and Brennan singled and doubled respectively to lead off the inning, Rivera knocked in the two runners with a single to right. | Barry 9, Post 3
  • B4 - The Bucs batted around again in the fourth. Braden Forchic singled and Wickeri doubled to start in the inning. Noriega brought in one run with a fly out. After a walk to Maceda left runners on the corners, he and Wickeri worked a double steal for another run. Felx Diaz singled to drive in Maceda. After another single to Steven Nitch, Rodriguez slammed his team-leading fourth homer of the year. Sanchez walked and Forchic singled and Wickeri capped the inning with an RBI single to center. | Barry 16, Post 3

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Dom Murgo III (3-0) worked 4.1 innings in relief of starter Frank II Gonzalez to earn the win in the opener. He allowed one run on five hits and a walk and struck out four.
  • Matt Semon (2-2) took the loss for the Eagles. He gave up six runs on 11 hits and a walk in 5.1 innings.
  • Angel Cespedes (3-1) earned his team-leading third win in the night cap. He went a season-long eight innings, allowing three runs on six hits and a walk and struck out seven.
  • Portes took the loss for the Eagles allowing four runs without recording an out, but it was a team effort as Nick Gomes allowed nine runs in 3.1 innings, Noah Connor gave up five in 1.2 innings and Nick Gaudio surrendered three in 1.0 inning.
  • Wickeri and Rodriguez each had five hits in the twinbill. Wickeri scored four and drove in four, while Rodriguez scored five and drove in seven, all in the second game.
  • The seven RBI for Rodriguez is tied for fourth in program history. The last time a Buccaneer drove in at least seven runs was almost 10 years ago when Carlos Matamoros had seven on Mar. 12, 2014 against American International.
  • The 21 runs are the most of the Bucs since beating Post last year 23-7 on Mar. 13.
  • Corchado led the visitors with four hits, including his first homer.

The Bucs finish the three-game set with the Eagles with a single game on Sunday at 6:00 pm.
