MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers pulled off a doubleheader sweep of Kutztown at Buccaneer Field on Wednesday, taking the first game 1-0 in eight innings and the night cap 9-3.

- T1 - The Bears got on the board early, as the Bucs struggled on defense, scoring two runs on a hit and a pair of Buccaneer errors. Brianna Stocklin doubled to lead off the game and scored on an error and Emily Henn, who reached on a fielder's choice, scored on a ground out. | Kutztown 2, Barry 0
- B1 - Although the Bucs won the first game, they struggled at the plate. But that wasn't the case in game two. Brooklyn Rushton hammered a single off the leg of Kutztown pitcher Natalee Harvey. Haper Bunn and Cassandra Lee walked to load the bases. Caroline Figueroa knocked in Rushton with a single up the middle. Paige white drove in two runs with a base hit. Mac Stone-Folmar punched a single through the left side to score Figueroa and White came home on a fly ball from Boyd. | Barry 5, Kutztown 2
- Â B2 - Barry tacked on two runs in the second. Rushton dropped down a bunt single to lead off and went to second on a wild pitch. After a walk to Bunn, both runners moved up, on a fly ball by Rushton and a steal by Bunn. Both runners cam home on single to right center by Figueroa. | Barry 7, Kutztown 2
- T3 - The Bears trimmed a run off the lead in the third. Henn tripled down the right field line with one out and scored on a ground out. | Barry 7, Kutztown 3
- B4 - Barry capped the scoring in the fourth. Lee walked with two outs and went to second on an obsction call on Bears shortstop Sophia Collins. Becka Mellor ripped a single down the right field line and Lee scored when second baseman Alexa Stevens threw the ball away. White doubled into the left center gap to score Mellor. | Barr 9, Kutztown 3
NOTEWORTHY:
- Maci Barnhart (6-6) earned the win with three scoreless, hitless innings in relief of Alexis Martin. Barnhart struck out two. She kept the Bears off the board in the eighth, with the tie-break runner on getting a pair of pop ups and ground out.
- Samantha Rosenberger (6-2) worked a complete game in the nightcap, allowing three runs (one earned) on five hits and a walk. She struck out one.
- Haley Gravish (5-3) took the loss for the Bears in game one, dispite holding the Bucs to just two hits, an infield single by Lee in the first and Boyd's game-winner in the eighth. She walked two and struck out one.
- Kutztown ace Natalee Harvey (6-2) took the loss in the second game, not making it out of the first inning. She gave up five runs on four hits and two walks, recording just one out.
- Rushton, Figueroa, White and Boyd each had two hits in the twin bill. Rushton, Bunn and Lee all scored twice, while Figueroa and White each drove in three.
