Women's Basketball Drops Contest To Eagles

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. --  Barry women's basketball dropped their contest to the Embry-Riddle Eagles 83-63 on Wednesday night at the ICI Center.

SUMMARY:

  • 1Q - After a Kayla Lindsey jumper with 8:25 left, the Bucs lead the rest of the first quarter. A basket from Sanaya Shrader with 4:29 remaining gave the Bucs their biggest lead of five points, which they match several more times as the teams traded baskets. | Barry 20, ERAU 17
  • 2Q - The Bucs were up 25-20 when the Eagles went on a 10-0 run to take a five-point lead with 4:47 left in the half and never trailed again.  | ERAU 43, Barry 34
  • 3Q - A jumper by Chandler Brooks with 3:23 left in the third gave the Eagles their first double-figure lead, but Barry scored the last four points of the period.  | ERAU 59, Barry 53
  • 4Q - In the fourth, the Bucs trailed 64-57 after a Chiara Fusari jumper with 8:26 remaining. But the eagles closed the game on a 19-6 run to pul away for the win. | ERAU 83, Barry 63

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Lauren Livingston (10) and Audrey Jennings (18) led the Buccaneer offense as the only players in double figures. 
  • Alyssa Brasko led the Eagles with 18 points.
  • Madyson Jean-Louis added 15 and Kailey Turpening had 10 for the home team.
  • The Eagle bench, led by Brasko, outscored Barry's 44-14. 

ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs visits the Rollins Tars on Saturday, Mar. 2 for the season finale.
