Gabe Hernandez erupted for a personal-best 21 points in the Barry University men's basketball team's 88-80 setback to the second-ranked Sharks.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- 1H | Nova scored the initial basket, and eight of the opening 10 points, to quickly take an 8-2 lead with 18:13 remaining in the opening half. Barry rallied to get within one at 8-7, doing so again at 10-9 before an 11-2 NSU stretch created a double-digit separation at 21-11 with 14:16 left in the half. The Sharks pushed the lead up to 13 before back-to-back Barry three pointers made it 31-24, with the Bucs' using another 6-0 run in the final three minutes of the half to make it a one-possession game at 38-36 before back-to-back Nova baskets making it 42-36 at the break.
- 2H | Barry was held without a run of consecutive baskets for the opening 10 minutes of the second until a 9-0 run made it 72-62 with 8:38 left to play. Barry's rally cut the deficit down to three at 78-75, but an 8-0 response by the host recreated their double-digit advantage at 86-75 with 2:32 left to play. The Bucs chipped into the lead via a 5-0 run, while the host ended the contest with the final two points.
