MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers sank the Rollins Tars with a barrage of three-pointers 82-73 in Sunshine State Conference women's basketball action on Cesar Odio Court Saturday.

- 1Q - Although Barry jumped out to a 4-0 lead, the Tars out-scored the Bucs 15-5 over the next six minutes to take the lead after the first period. The Bucs hit only 20 percent from the floor, while the Tars connected on 50 percent. | Rollins 15, Barry 11
- 2Q - But the Bucs doubled up the Tars in the second period, with Barry hitting 53.3 percent from the floor and the Tars just 25 percent. Barry opened the period on a 13-2 run, taking their first lead since the first period on a jumper by Audrey Jennings with 7:26 left until half. - 3Q - Both teams shot the ball better in the third quarter, but Barry's 9-for-9 from the line pushed the Bucs out to a further lead. After the Tars tied the game 33-33 on a three-pointer by Faith Newton, Barry went on a 16-0 over the next three minutes. Emma Wallhoff gave Barry its biggest lead 49-33 with a three-pointer at 4:58. - 4Q - In the fourth period, the Tars slowly whittled into the Bucs' lead. Paris Triplett pulled the Tars under 10 with a bucket at the 3:05 mark. Aaliyah Irizarry-Perez got the Tars to within five, 78-73, with a three-pointer with 0:37 second left. But Kyrstin Green and Jenning went 4-for-4 from the line in the final minute and the Bbucs shutout the Tars the rest of the way for the final margin. | Barry 82, Rollins 73
NOTEWORTHY:
- Jennings topped all players with 21 points, the ninth time she has led the Bucs this season.
- But Green chipped in 20 points, Wallhoff added a season-high 15, on 5-of-9 shooting behind the arc, and Kaliyah Morales added 12 for a balanced attack.
- Kaitlyn Sanders led the Tars with 18 points and Tara Murray chipped in 11 points in just nine minutes of play.
- Aijah Palmore had 12 rebounds, as the Bucs held a 41-36 edge on the glass.
ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs are off until next Saturday for exam week, but return to action on Dec. 14 when they visit the Nova Southeastern Sharks.
