DAVIE, Fla. --  The Barry Buccaneers used a balanced offensive and defensive game to knock off defending Sunshine State Conference women's basketball champs, 18th-ranked Nova Southeastern, 74-55 in Rick Case Arena on Saturday.

SUMMARY:
	- 1Q - The Sharks jumped out to a early lead. After a three-pointer from Audrey Jennings, NSU rolled off seven straight points to take a 7-3 lead at the 5:02 mark. But Barry got things going in the second half of the period, out-scoring the Sharks 14-9, taking a lead at the break on a three-point play from Kaliyah Morales at the buzzer. | Barry 17, NSU 16
 
	- 2Q - Barry held on to its lead throughout the second period, thanks to nine points from Jennings. Morales pushed the lead to double figures, 38-28, on a pair of free throws at 1:22 and Aijah Palmore gave the Bucs their biggest lead at 40-29.  | Barry 40, NSU 32
 
	- 3Q - The Sharks came out blazing to start the second half, scoring nine straight points to start the period. They re-took the lead on three-pointer from Dash Shaw with 6:17 left. Barry got a three-pointer from Zoë Adams and a pair from the stripe from Jennings to go back up by four. Madison Cloonan sandwiched a pair of layups around a basket from Kyrstin Green that left Barry up by two. But the Bucs used their defensive pressure to stoke an 11-4 run to close quarter. 	- 4Q - Emma Wallhoff scored five of the first six points in the period for the Bucs and Barry was off and running. Over the next eight possessions, the Sharks were just 1-for-4 with four turnovers, as Barry used an 8-2 run to go up by 20 on a Green layup with 4:11 left. Although Barry only managed a three-pointer from Jennings with 2:16 left, the Sharks could only must four points and fell by 19.  | Barry 74, NSU 55
 
NOTEWORTHY:
	- Jennings led the Bucs in scoring for the 10th straight game with a game-high 27 points, including 8-of-15 from the field and 9-of-10 from the line.
 
	- Green came off the bench with 16 points and three assists, handling the NSU pressure with ease.
 
	- Morales chipped in 11 points and five assists.
 
	- Alana Ellis was the only Shark in double figures with 13 points.
 
	- Barry held the potent Shark offense 21 points under their season average, while scoring 23 more points than NSU had previously allowed.
 
	- Although turnovers were close at 18 for the Sharks and 15 for the Bucs, Barry took much better advantage, leading 19-11 off those miscues.
 
	- Bary also out-rebounded NSU 45-38, including 12-10 on the offensive end, leading to a 16-9 edge in second-chance points.
 
	- Barry led for 32:26 of the game.
 
	- The win awards half a point to Barry in the County-Line Cup competition.
