MELBOURNE, Fla. — Momentum continues on the side of the Barry Women's Volleyball team who picked up their 14th sweep of the year, taking down Sunshine State Conference (SSC) leader, Florida Tech, from the Clemente Center Thursday evening. This is the Bucs fourth straight victory and seventh sweep in SSC play. Their road record improves to 6-3 on the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Set One - It was aa tightly contested set with no team holding more than a three-point lead for most of the time. The tide changed on a kill from Varvara Osychenko that sparked a 8-0 run by the Bucs. Jeyhlen Thomas' kill and Diana Akopova's block turned the tide for the set hat forced a Florida Tech timeout at 20-18. Akopova and Thomas continued the dominance forcing another quick timeout by the Panthers. Veronika Eremeeva put the set away with the final kill. - Set Two - Florida Tech did not back down opening the set with a 4-0 advantage. Barry quickly reversed the scoreboard with a 9-1 rally that made it 13-9, Eremeeva had four kills in that span. The Panthers fought their way back, but a Barry timeout flipped a switch gaining separation to put the set away. Akopova capped it off with a service ace for the final point. - Set Three - After falling behind 2-0, Barry stacked up seven straight points to put this set away early. FIT only put together three rallies of two-points or more in the set. NOTEWORTHY:
- Veronika Eremeeva had a career-high 21 kills, with 10 digs for her third double-double.
- Diana Akopova had 18 kills with eight digs.
- Gaia Riedmuller led the back row with 16 digs on the evening.
- Petra Brkicic's 43 assists is a new career-high for the freshman.
