MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Men's Basketball team escaped with a victory over Florida National on Saturday afternoon from the Health & Sports Center. Late free throws and steady defense closed out the game for the Buccaneers.

SUMMARY:
- 1H - A slow start for the Buccaneers picked up when Michael Bradley III knocked down a three to give Barry their first lead of the game at 8-7. Both teams battled back and forth with Florida National holding the advantage. Barry had a 22-8 run to close out the last 10 minutes of the first half. Malik Stanley led the run with eight points of his own, hitting two back-to-back threes. - 2H - The second half was a full battle between the Conquistadors and the Buccaneers. FNU closed out a 15-point gap to over take the lead with 2:14 on the clock. Clutch free throws by Stanley were the difference makers that gave Barry the final lead. NOTEWORTHY:
- Barry bench scored nearly half the points with Stanley leading the way.
- Stanley had 17-points to lead all Buc scorers.
- Jimel Lane recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. This is his first double-double as a Buc.
- Lane's defense led the way with four blocks, a career-high.
- Crandon and Adren Roberts also scored with double figures with 10 and 12, respectively.
- The Bucs have now won three of their last four and remain unblemished at home at 3-0.
- Barry led in rebounds 44-37.

The Bucs will return to Sunshine State Conference action next Wednesday, Dec. 4, taking on Palm Beach Atlantic on the road.
