MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers took down the South Carolina-Beaufort Sand Sharks 71-56 in the Dan Olson Women's Basketball Alumni Shootout on Cesar Odio Court Friday.

- 1Q - The first quarter was a nip-and-tuck affair, with neither side able to pull away. Ariea Garrett tied the game up 12-12 with a free throw with 2:13 left. But the Bucs scored the last four points to take the lead at the break. | Barry 16, USCB 12
- 2Q - The Sand Sharks came out firing in the second quarter, scoring six unanswered points to take the lead on a layup by Lydia Gazzozzi with 7:59 remaining. Barry ran off seven of the next nine points, including six points by Audrey Jennings to regain the lead 23-20. - 3Q - USCB again started the third period strong, scoring the first six points to take their biggest lead 38-31 after 2:39. But Barry chipped back, taking a 44-42 lead on a back-to-back layups by Kayla Lindsey at the end of the period. | Barry 44, USCB 42
- 4Q - Barry opened the final frame on a 8-2 run and did not trail again. Leading 59-55, Barry clamped down the defense on the Sand Sharks, out-scoring the visitors 12-1 over the last three minutes of the game. Jennings and Aijah Palmore each scored five points in the run. NOTEWORTHY:
- Jennings topped all players with 29 points. She shot 10-of-19 from the field, 4-of-11 from three=points ranges and 5-of-7 from the line.
- Lindsey added 16 points on 7-for-12 shooting and Kaliyah Morales chipped in 11 points.
- Palmore led the Bucs with 13 rebounds and narrowly missed a double-double with nine points.
- Barry out-rebounded the Sand Sharks 48-30 and led 16-6 in second-chance points.
- Gattozzi led USCB with 17 points, while Brielle Bartelt had 14 and Ella Coffey added 10 points.
