MIAMI SHORES, Fla. — Buc fans welcomed home the Barry Volleyball team, who has not played a match inside the Health & Sports Center since September 27. The Bucs strung together an impressive performance taking down Eckerd in straight sets on Friday evening to get end a three-game losing streak.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Set One - Veronika Eremeeva came out and set the tone early with a kill to start the set. Barry then went on a 6-0 run to take a 7-1 lead earning all six points. The Bucs had 19 kills with two attack errors, hitting .459 in the set. | Barry 25, Eckerd 15
- Set Two - Varvara Osychenko got the first point on the board for the Bucs this set. The defense stepped up in the set with 6.5 blocks. Diana Akopova and Ester Pushkarov teamed up to be a part of five of those blocks. A service error for the Tritons closed out the set and gave BU a two-set lead. | Barry 25, Eckerd 19
- Set Three - After Eckerd contest the begin of the set trading points back and forth, Barry began to distance themselves starting with a kill from Akopova. The Bucs than had 8-1 rally that added a permamnent seperation in the set. The offense only had one attacking erros and hit .421 capitalizing on nine Triton attacking errors. | Barry 25, Eckerd 13
NOTEWORTHY:
- Barry held Eckerd to under double-digit kills in all three sets.
- The Bucs sweep the season series over the Tritons.
- Akopova had 12 kills with eight digs and six blocks, while hitting 455.
- Petra Brkicic led in the setter role with 29 assists.
- Veronika Eremeeva has recorded double-digit kills in five straight matches collecting 11 tonight and six digs.
