BOCA RATON, Fla. — Barry Volleyball starts a three-match week on the road, closing out a seven-match stint away from home. The Bucs fell three sets to one to no. 17 Lynn as they start the second go around in Sunshine State Conference play. More milestones continue to be earned with Akopova, Eremeeva, and Brkicic setting new personal best.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Set One - Lynn opened up the match on a 6-1 run. Barry chipped away to bring it within two at 10-8 picking up three kills and two blocks. The Bucs gained their first lead at 18-16 behind Eremeeva holding serve and picking up two aces. Lynn would close it out with three straight points, two off Buc errors. | Barry 25, Lynn 27
- Set Two - Barry carried the early momentum with a 10-4 set lead. Midway through the set, momentum swung to Lynn who scored six straight to make it 15-13. After trading points back and forth into the 20's, the Fighting Knights closed it out scoring five of the last six. | Barry 22, Lynn 25
- Set Three - Both team powered through big rallies in the first 10 points. The Bucs however locked in after the 18-18 tie to pull away with eight of the last nine points of the set. | Barry 25, Lynn 19
- Set Four - Once down seven, Barry rallied to tie it up at 21-all. The Bucs were a point away from sending it to a fifth set, but Lynn rallied three points to put it away. | Barry 25, Lynn 27
NOTEWORTHY:
- Three of the four sets went into deuce.
- Diana Akopova set a new record for most kills in a four-set match with 38 kills, beating her previous record of 37.
- Akopova also had five blocks and recorded a double-double with 19 digs.
- Petra Brkicic set a new career-high with 41-assists.
- Veronika Eremeeva recorded a career-high 14 kills.
- Eight solo blocks ties for fifth most in a match, the last time being in 2022.

Barry will return home for the first time in a month and take on Eckerd Friday evening at 7 p.m. from the Health & Sports Center.
