BOCA RATON, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers swimming team fell to the Lynn Fighting Knights, 158-103 on the men's side and 190.5-49.5 on the women's side.
The first day consisted of 28 events, 14 on the men's side and 14 on the women's. The events consisted of the 200-medley relay, 1000 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, 200 butterfly, 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 100 butterfly, 400 IM, 200 backstroke, 200 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 400 freestyle, 200 IM and lastly the 400 freestyle relay.
Event Winners--
Jacopo Lanzo won the Men's 1000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 10:10.05
Diana Suprun won the Women's 100 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:07.70, Diana also won the 200 Yard IM with a time of 2:20.17
Balazs Ament won the Men's 200 Yard IM with a time of 1:57.16
HOW IT HAPPENED (MEN):
The Men's relay team placed 2nd in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:38.60, giving the Bucs four points.
Matthew McLean placed 2nd with a time of 10:10.82 in the Men's 1000 Yard Freestyle, winning four points in the contest.
Milosz Mencel finished in 2nd place with a time of 1:44.13 in the Men's 200 Yard Freestyle, he gained four points for the Barry team.
HOW IT HAPPENED (WOMEN):
The Women's relay team swam and finished 5th in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:58.50, giving the Bucs no points.
Kauri Parsons placed 2nd in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:45.79, scoring four points for the Bucs.
Jenna Beck placed 3rd in the 100-yard Butterfly with a time of 1:04.86, edging out 2.5 points for the team.

The Bucs will head to Winter Park, Fla. against Rollins on Nov 2 at 12 pm.
