Chiara Fusari became the newest member of the Barry University women's basketball program's 1,000 point club on Saturday afternoon, finishing the Sunshine State Conference contest against Lynn with 27 to help the Bucs create a nine-point lead with 4:20 remaining before a late rally by the visitors propelled them to a 70-68 result.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- 1Q | Lynn scored the opening basket of the contest, creating a double-digit advantage at 17-6 with 4:35 remaining in the first quarter. Barry got as close at six during the opening stanza before a 5-0 run by Lynn to end the quarter made it 27-16.
- 2Q | After trading the opening 10 points of the second quarter, the Bucs scored seven-straight points to make it 32-28 with 5:46 remaining in the half. Neither side connected on consecutive baskets for the duration of the frame, with Lynn holding a 38-35 advantage at halftime.
- 3Q | Barry knotted the score at 42-all, with an Audrey Jennings layup pushing the Bycs ahead 44-42 with 7:14 left in the frame. Lynn flipped the advantage off a 4-0 run, with Barry responding behind an 8-0 spree to create a 52-46 lead with 2:18 left in the quarter. Lynn ended the quarter with a free throw to make it 52-47.
- 4Q | Barry started the fourth quarter with a basket to extend their lead to even, pushing it to nine at 65-56 before a 9-0 Lynn rally knotted the score at 65-65 with 22 seconds left. The two sides traded the ensuing six points to keep the score tied at 68-68 before a pair of free throws with three second left gave Lynn a 70-68 edge.
NOTEWORTHY:
- With 1,010 career points, Fusari sits seventh in the program record book and one point shy of tying for sixth. She averaged 29.0 points against Lynn in their two matchups this season.
- Jennings scored 18 points with 10 rebounds.
- Lauren Livingston chipped in 12 points.
