NOTEWORTHY:
- While the score was not close, the shot count was. In fact Tampa held an 11-10 edge in shots and a 6-3 edge in corners.
- But the Spartans only managed to put one shot on goal, a shot by Jordan Livitz in the fifth minute, which was saved by Barry keeper Rafael Furlani.
- Furlani ran his scoreless streak to 285 minutes and is 4-0 in his last four starts.
- Polanco scored his sixth goal in six games and has tallied in three straight matches.
- For Gragnano, the two goals are the second-fastest consecutive goals in Buccaneer history and the first two of his college career. Mark Anderson scored 0:23 seconds apart against Johnson & Wales in 2010.
- The five goal marks the biggest win over the Spartans in the 44-game history of the series and matches the most goals the Bucs have ever scored against Tampa.
- The previous biggest win was 4-0 in 2002, while Barry beat Tampa 5-2 in 2003.
