MILTON, Mass. -- The Barry Buccaneers women's golf team finished finished up play at the Red Bandana Invitational at Blue Hill Country Club hosted by Boston College.
The Bucs carded a +73 (320-309-308--937) which placed them tied for 8th of 17 teams. Barry's best round came in round three, with a score of 308, to move them up one spot.
Barry was the lone Division II team, while the other 16 teams were all NCAA Division I teams.
BUCCANEER HIGHLIGHTS:
Daniela Ballesteros (+12) (78-79-71--228) T-15th Place
- One-under in round three, which was the best round of any Buccaneer in the tournament.
- Tied for team lead in par-4 scoring (+10).
- Tied for team lead in par-5 scoring (-1).
- Tied for fourth among field in pars (37), led team.
- Totaled five birdies.
- One of two players among entire field to record an eagle.
Sydney Grimes (+17) (80-74-79--233) T-26th Place
- Led Bucs in par-3 scoring (+2), tied for 4th among entire field.
- E on par-5 holes.
- Totaled 28 pars.
- Totaled 30 pars and five birdies.
Tereza Zavrelova (+22) (82-78-78--238) 44th Place
- Tied for team lead in par-4 scoring (+10).
- Totaled 33 pars and two birdies.
Nina Klug (+26) (84-78-80--242) T-59th Place
- Carded 33 pars and one birdie.
Giuliana Gomez (+27) (80-83-80--243) T62nd Place
- Recorded 19 pars.
- Led Barry in birdies (7).
