INSIDE THE MATCHUP:
Records: Barry (2-0-0); Florida National (0-3-1); Southern New Hampshire (2-0-0)
The Buccaneers have gotten off to a hot start to their season and currently hold possession of first place in the SSC women's soccer standings. Veteran coach Tafadzwa Ziyenge will likely look towards his midfielder Leticia Cunha (Sr.) to lead the way. So far on the season, Cunha leads the Bucs with five points. Keeper Maya Caon has not surrendered a goal in 158 minutes of action.
FNU comes into this game having not added a win to their record yet in the season through four games. However, due to a tie in their last match against New College of Florida, they are tied for third in the CAC standings. Additionally, coach Giovanni De La Rosa's team also ranks third in their conference with 17 shots on goal. Throughout their first few games, the Conquistadors have been led by senior forward Michaela Calisto and freshman goalie Nahomie Ambrose.
Similar to how the Bucs' season has begun, SNHU women's soccer also hold a 2-0-0 record and are tied for first place in their conference. Coached by Elie Montero and led by sophomore's Liv Gantelius (F) and Claudia Keith (GK) the Lady Penmen present themselves as a worthy challenge for the Bucs this weekend.
ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs will stay at home for a rematch against PBA Tuesday, Sept. 19 at 7:00 pm.
