DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The Barry University softball team split its final Sunshine State Conference (SSC) doubleheader of the season at Radiology Associates Field against Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, winning 2-1 in the opener before dropping the nightcap, 5-3, on Saturday.

• B1: This time it was Embry-Riddle who got the jump on Barry early on. Mia Macchia led off the bottom of the first with a single to second and swiped a base soon after. She was in prime position to capitalize on a single from Emma Wood that put ERAU up 1-0. | Embry-Riddle (FL) 1, Barry 0
• B3: Mahaliyah Sandridge used her 10th-career triple to get into scoring position with one out. She was able to jog home as Karina Ortiz-Munoz doubled to center field to increase the lead to 2-0 | Embry-Riddle (FL) 2, Barry 0
• T4: The Buccaneers tallied their first hit in the top of the fourth with a one-out triple to right by Cassandra Lee. Lee later beat out a throw home from the shortstop on a ground ball by Rylee Lord to give Barry its first run of the game. | Embry-Riddle (FL) 2, Barry 1
• B4: Kressler singled with one out and stole second before moving to third on a ground out, and then coming home on Oberkehr's single. | Embry-Riddle (FL) 3, Barry 1

• T7: Rylee Lord singled to left field in her final collegiate at-bat. Cheyenn Fulton entered as a pinch-runner. Angel Villanueva singled with two outs to put Bucs at first and second. NOTEWORTHY:

• Harper Bunn had three hits in the two games.
• Cassandra Lee and Angel Villanueva both collected a pair of base hits, each with an extra-base hit as well - Lee with a triple and Villanueva with a double.
• Rylee Lord, who had a single in her final collegiate at-bat, contributed seven assists in the doubleheader from second base.
• Cassandra Lee (W, 8-6) started the opener and went four innings of three-hit ball for the win.
• Haelee Angelico made relief appearances in both games.
• Maci Barnhart earned her third save of the season in the opener and took the loss in the nightcap.
