(NCAA Semifinal)-- The third-ranked and fourth-seeded Barry University Buccaneers eliminated the top-seeded, second-ranked, and previously undefeated Valdosta State University Blazers with a 4-1 win in the semifinal round of the 2023 NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Championships at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida. The three-time defending champion Buccaneers advance to their sixth-straight final and will play Columbus State University Cougars for the title tomorrow at 7 p.m.

- For Barry, it is their sixth in a row and the 15th time overall to advance to the NCAA finals. The 15 appearances in the championship match are an NCAA record, extending their own mark. Lander is second with eight, while West Florida and Hawai'i Pacific each have six.
- Barry has won six national championships, including the last three in a row, and has 29 tournament appearances.
- The Bucs are currently tied for third all-time in championships (Lander - 8; Southern Illinois-Edwardsville - 7, UC - Irvine - 6 [all of Irvine's titles came before match play started in 1983]).
- Barry meets Columbus State for the title for the fourth time in the last five championships. The Cougars won in 2018, while Barry took home the titles in 2019 and 2021.
- The Bucs and Cougars have not met on the court since March 6, 2022, when CSU won a regular-season match 4-3 in Orlando, Fla., at the USTA Training Center. Barry had previously defeated CSU that year, 4-3, in the finals of the 2022 ITA Indoor Championships.
