MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry lost 19-10 to the third-ranked Tampa Spartans at Feinbloom Field in Sunshine State Conference baseball action at Feinbloom Field on Saturday. The second of the doubleheader was washed out in the fourth inning and suspended until 11:00 am Sunday, April 23.

NOTEWORTHY:
- Frank Gonzalez (3-2) took the loss after allowing five runs in a third of an inning.
- Alex Canney (6-0) went five innings, allowing three runs on eight hits and two walks for Tampa.
- Maceda had three hits to lead the Bucs, while Forchic, Neel, Rodriguez and Menendez each had two hits.
ON THE HORIZON:
The second game of the doubleheader will continue tomorrow, Apr. 23 at 11:00 am. The Spartans led 9-1 in the top of the fourth inning.
