AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Barry Buccaneers lost both ends of a doubleheader to the Georgia Southwestern State Hurricanes on Sunday 9-7 and 8-4, dropping the series two games to one.

NOTEWORTHY:
- Anthony Bennetti (2-2) was tagged with the loss. In 1.1 innings, he gave up three runs on three hits and two walks. All of his runs scored on the grand slam by Alexander in the eighth.
- Miguel Villfane (1-1) took the loss in game two, giving up two runs on three hits in 1.1 innings.
- Joseph Roden was the pitching hero for the Hurricanes, earning his first two saves of the year in the twin bill. In the two appearances, he totaled 2.1 scoreless, hitless innings. He walked one batter, but recorded no strike outs.
- Relievers Grant Adams (4-3) and Mike Monduy (1-2) got the wins for GSW.
