MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry University softball team hosted Colorado School of Mines in a non-league doubleheader with Senior Day on the slate for Buccaneer right fielder Rylee Lord. The four-year player had family visiting from Arizona and they were treated to two games in one in the opener as the Orediggers and Buccaneers battled 13 innings before Barry emerged with a 5-4 victory. The International Tiebreak went into effect in the 10th inning with both teams scoring a run in the 12th, Orediggers taking a one-run lead in the 13th before the Buccaneers walked off with two in the bottom of the frame. Barry swept the visitors with four runs in the 3rd inning of Game Two and the biggest blast coming from a two-run homer to deep center for the senior Lord. Barry improves to 7-2 on the season and Colorado School of Mines remains winless through its first four games.
