MIAMI SHORES, Fla - Trailing by three with less than 20 seconds remaining on Wednesday evening, the Barry University men's basketball team got the ball into the hand of
Nick Anderson, who connected on his 177th career triple that ranks sixth in program history to knot the score only for a last-second basket by visiting Palm Beach Atlantic propelling them to an 82-80 result.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- 1H | After splitting the opening 22 points of the contest, PBA used a 7-0 run to take an 18-11 lead with 13:46 remaining in the half. Barry rallied to make it a one-possession game at 22-19, knotting the score at 29-all with 5:45 remaining in the half. The two sides traded the ensuing 12 points to keep the score tied at 35-35 before back-to-back Barry triples in response to a PBA jumper gave the Bucs a 41-37 lead with 1:13 left in the half. PBA scored a pair of layups in the final minute of the opening half, while Barry connected on three free throws to create a 44-41 halftime score.
- 2H | Barry scored the opening point of the second half off a free throw, only for a 12-2 PBA stretch pushing them to a 53-47 lead with 15:30 left to play. Barry got within one off a layup and three-pointer back-to-back, reclaiming the lead at 58-57 with 11:03 remaining behind a 6-0 run. The Sailfish recreated their six-point advantage at 78-72 before an 8-2 Barry rally knotted the score at 80-all with 15 seconds remaining with PBA scoring the go-ahead basket with one second left.
NOTEWORTHY:
- James Montgomery recorded his fourth double-double of the campaign behind a 23-point 13-rebound showing, going 8-14 from the field while adding two steals and as many assists.
- Anderson added 17 points.
- Ga'Khari Lacount dished out a team-best five assists.
- Barry converted on 30-71 shots, going 7-17 from distance and 13-16 from the free throw line.
- PBA went 32-64 from the field, 8-23 from three-point territory and 10-16 from the free throw line.
- Barry committed 12 turnovers, resulting in 18 points for the Sailfish. PBA committed 13 turnovers, leading to 14 points for Barry.
- Barry held a 41-37 advantage in rebounds.
