SAINT LEO, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers women's golf team finished the 2023 Fall season on a strong note, placing third at the NCAA National Championship Fall Preview after carding +3 (287-292--579).
Daniela Ballesteros and Flagler's Stella Jelinek tied for first, both shooting six-under (138). Ballesteros was the individual medalist thanks to a scorecard playoff.
BUCCANEER HIGHLIGHTS:
Daniela Ballesteros (-6) (67-71--138) 1st Place
- Recorded a team low round of 67 (-5).
- Led all golfers in par-3 scoring at -4.
- Tied for lead among all golfers in par-5 scoring (-4).
- Totaled 26 pars and seven birdies.
- One of three golfers to record an eagle.
Giuliana Gomez (-1) (70-73--143) T-3rd Place
- Highest finish of the Fall season.
- Carded -3 on par-5 holes, tied for third among entire field.
- Totaled 25 pars and six birdies.
Tereza Zavrelova (+5) (75-74--149) T-37th Place
- Totaled 26 pars and three birdies.
Nina Klug (+6) (75-75--150) T-41st Place
- Totaled 26 pars and two birdies.
Josefine Winkle (+8) (78-74--152) T-47th Place
- Totaled 21 pars and five birdies.
